| | listservs A listserv, or e-mail list, is one email list address to which several people may be subscribed. It allows you to subscribe via your email program, and then receive all the correspondence that other people exchange via email on the listserv. Everything that you write to the list will get broadcast to everybody else on the list, so if you have something that is not of general interest, or is specific to one person - send a private e-mail directly to that person, not to the list.
