What
is Assessment?
Assessment is an ongoing process
of inquiry whose goal is improvement. As
shown
in the diagram below, it involves
getting answers to the following questions:
- What are we trying to accomplish?
- What
would tell us how well we are doing?
- How well are we actually doing? How
do we know?
- How do we use the information to improve?
