Pratt Institute is a coeducational undergraduate and graduate institution chartered and empowered to confer academic degrees by the State of New York. The certificates and degrees conferred are registered by the New York State Education Department. The Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Post-secondary Accreditation. The School of Art & Design is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. The School of Architecture’s degree programs are accredited by the National Architecture Accreditation Board. The undergraduate Interior Design program is accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research. The graduate program in Library and Information Science is accredited by the American Library Association. The graduate program in Creative Art Therapy is approved by the American Art Therapy Association.
