Study on Academic Governance
President Schutte: In June, we retained an educational consultant, Dr. John Erickson, to help us with current academic governance. The project includes a review of academic governance processes, practices, and structures (including but not necessarily limited to academic departments, provost, academic senate, president, and board of trustees). The study will propose and identify specific changes that will foster – through clearly delineated roles and responsibilities – more efficient and effective processes, practices, and structures for academic program management.
