Development FUND 2004-2005 Report by Mark O’Grady, FDF Committee Chair March 2005 The Faculty Development Grant Committee reviewed 43 grant applications and awarded 29 grants ranging from $1000.00 - $3000.00, for a total of $60,400.00. Winning applications varied in range and subject matter and included such proposals as studying early childhood education in Northern Italy, an ethnographic study of Fulton Mall in downtown Brooklyn, research for a book on the influences of African American popular culture on modern graphic design, completion of a short film entitled “Stand Off”, to the development of a cross-disciplinary course in Production Design for Film and Video proposed by faculty in the Media Arts and interior Design Departments.
