DEFINITIONS
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The process requires the cooperation of various administrative departments and the Student Government Association at Pratt institute. The Academic Senate is solely responsible for the following:
- determining the Senate’s nominations and elections eligibility criteria, schedule and procedures;
- preparing, promoting, distributing, collecting and verifying material related to its nominations and elections process; and
- providing a full report at the conclusion of the process.
SENATE TERM
The term of the Academic Senate shall commence July 1, 2010 and expire June 30, 2013.
SENATE CONSTITUENTS
Senate constituents include all Chairs, Assistant Chairs and persons that teach in one or more of the four schools or the Library at Pratt Institute. They include:
- Full-time faculty
- Part-time faculty
- Chairs and Assistant Chairs, including those with interim and acting designations
- Staff and administrators who teach, including Tutors, Lecturers, Technicians, Coordinators, Assistants to Chair, Deans, Directors, Assistant Directors and Associate Directors.
- Faculty, Chairs/Assistant Chairs on leaves of absence.
FACULTY DATABASE
Faculty databases will be provided by Human Resources and the Provost’s Office, as follows:
• For Nominations in Fall 2009, final faculty list after September 1, 2009
• For Elections in Spring 2010, final faculty list after January 29, 2010 |
