SCHOOL OF INFORMATION & LIBRARY SCIENCE

The School of Information and Library Science educates professionals as responsible leaders in a broad range of settings that require librarians and information professionals. Our student-centered programs are a blend of theory and practice while integrating emerging technologies. Interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships insure the values, skills and knowledge to promote the high ethical standards, intellectual freedom and equal access to information. We emphasize excellence in teaching, learning, scholarship, and service so that our graduates become responsible users of technology, advocates for libraries and literacy, and committed to lifelong learning in our diverse global society.

CENTER FOR CONTINUING & PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

The mission of the Center for Continuing and Professional Studies (CCPS) is to develop and promote quality services in the areas of education, workforce / professional development, and training for non-traditional learners in artistic, management, and technical fields. The Center provides excellent educational opportunities for students to achieve their professional and personal goals through communication technologies, individualized and special programs, and flexible modes of instructional delivery. We believe that learning is a lifelong process, and the CCPS moniker is to be Pratt's dynamic link to the regions adult, non-traditional learning and corporate communities.

PICCED

The Pratt Institute Center for Community and Environmental Development (PICCED) works for a more just, equitable and sustainable city for all New Yorkers, by empowering communities to plan for and realize their futures. As part of Pratt Institute, we leverage professional skills – especially planning and architecture – to support community-based organizations in their efforts to improve neighborhood quality of life, attack the causes of poverty and inequality, and advance sustainable development.
