Institute Committees
As the duly chartered governance body elected to speak as the primary voice of the faculty and chairs of the four schools and the Library, the Senate selects faculty/chair representatives (R), and alternates (A), for the institutional committees listed below.

The Senate President represents the Academic Senate at the Institute President’s Senior Staff meetings and at meetings of the Board of Trustees. In addition, the Senate is charged with "formulating structure and procedures of search committees, and appointing faculty and chair membership" (Senate Bylaws, Article 2B i).
