NOMINATIONS PROCEDURES
Nomination shall be by open paper ballot and electronic submissions
- Nomination packages will be distributed to campus mailboxes of individual constituents via inter-office mail.
- Electronic submissions of nominations will be via the Senate’s official web-form.
- Senate constituents may nominate more than one candidate
- Eligible candidates are permitted to nominate him/her-self
- Nominators must confirm that his/her nominee(s) is/are able and willing to serve if elected; and provide contact information of nominee(s). Nominations without nominee consent and contact information will be declared invalid.
- Nominations via paper ballots or electronic submissions must be received by 5 pm on Friday, November 17.
Procedures For Nominator to Confirm his/her nomination
Any Senate constituent may request to review his/her nomination submission (paper or online) after the confirmation of Senator candidates on Monday, November 27, 2006.
For privacy reasons, only Senate constituents who have submitted nomination(s) by the nomination deadline of November 22, 5 p.m., may examine his/her own ballot, by the following process:
- Constituents who wish to confirm their nomination submission must do so by, and including, Thursday November 30th, 2006, 5 p.m.
- Appointments to examine Nomination Forms must be made with the Chair of Senate Nominations & Elections, Vice-president Tony White.
- Individual constituents may only view his/her own ballot.
- If constituents other than yourself nominated you for Senate seat, only the nominators may examine their individual nomination forms. Nominees may not have access to other nominators’ submission.
